The Challenge
Located in Mutengene, in the South-West Region of Cameroon, Baptist Hospital Mutengene is one of the hospitals run by Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) Health Services. It serves a large and often underserved population across the region. Despite the dedication of its clinical teams, ageing imaging and laboratory equipment — with frequent downtime and limited access to spare parts — meant that demand for diagnostics had outpaced the hospital’s existing infrastructure.
The human cost was real. Patients waited days for results that should take hours, or travelled long distances for care that should have been available close to home. Clinicians were making critical decisions without the reliable diagnostic support their expertise deserved — a gap in infrastructure, not in care.

The Solution
Gima-Bambot MedTech Ltd. proposed a Hospital Transformational Partnership rather than a sale. - Infrastructure and installation. The imaging and laboratory spaces were upgraded and the new systems installed, with the technical foundations built for durability.
- Integration and workflow optimisation. Systems were integrated and processes redesigned around the patient journey, so the new technology produced faster, smoother care, not just newer machines.
- Training and handover. Clinical and technical staff were trained to use, calibrate and care for the equipment with confidence.
- Ongoing service partnership. A maintenance and support agreement now safeguards over 95% equipment uptime, keeping diagnostics reliably available.
