If you have not heard of Gima-Bambot Healthcare Ltd., do not worry!

In the last quarter of 2016, Gima-Bambot International Ltd., announced restructuring. It is all done; the medical device company, Gima-Bambot Healthcare Ltd., becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Gima-Bambot Inc., Ltd.

Gima-Bambot International Ltd., has been operating well, but we thought we can make it cleaner and more accountable. We are excited about this restructuring and we are looking forward to an exciting future of the two companies:

Gima-Bambot Inc., Ltd., with the promise ‘advancing humanity’ and Gima-Bambot Healthcare Ltd., having ‘Empowering Healthcare Providers’, as the promise.

Gima-Bambot Inc., Ltd., is a holding company and has developed an internal venture fund, in part to have an early-warning radar system for emerging ideas, some of which may end-up leading to profitable partnerships and and scalable startups.

Gima-Bambot Healthcare Ltd., is a medical device company with support services such as consulting and medical equipment maintenance focusing on solving hard problems in the healthcare industry, for instance non availability of appropriate medical devices, re-enforcing quality healthcare catch-up via diffusion of know-how, education and training.

In the end, Gima-Bambot Inc., Ltd., as a holding is a collection of firms and remains a private company.

Presbyterian General Hospital Kumba (PGHK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gima-Bambot Healthcare Ltd., to improve on the technical platform in Trauma Care and collaborate in the development of this speciality as purpose.

Pre-execution activities of this agreement involved our several visits to PGH Kumba focusing on their specific needs and pains plus attending surgery sessions for a deep insight. This led to the atomization of the project hence, a decision to acquire first, Trauma Surgical Instruments and a Power System.

Together with the surgeon, theatre nurses and administration we agreed on Aesculap Acculan 3Ti Power System and Trauma Surgical Instruments. This equipment arrived in our head office in Douala on October 02nd, 2018. On November (15th – 16th), 2018 a training for the PGH Kumba surgical team (surgeons & nurses) took place at Gima-Bambot Healthcare Ltd., head office for an efficient use of the equipment including care and maintenance. This was a crucial part of the entire process as it boosted trust and confidence in end-users with respect to the equipment and guaranteed ownership.
